Continental Tide awarded delivery order in support of NSWC Philadelphia

Continental Tide Defense Systems, Inc. obtained a delivery order from NSWC Philadelphia for work on LHD 2 and LHD 4 in San Diego, California.

As part of the delivery order work, Continental Tide will provide the engineering and technical services required for the removal and replacement of obsolete Low Pressure Air Dehydrator units onboard LHD 2 (USS ESSEX) and LHD 4 (USS BOXER) vessels.

The work required on this task order includes replacing sixteen (16) obsolete Hankison A-100-CNS dehydrator units (eight units per ship) with sixteen (16) Howell Laboratories Inc. (HLI) 7300 Mk II units. The replacement HLI 7300 Mk II units will be provided by Howell Laboratories as GFM.

Work will also include submitting a Work Authorization Form (WAF), machine tag-out, removing obsolete dehydrators, electrical disconnect, capping chilled water and low pressure air inlet and outlet piping, rigging new units into spaces, modifying and piping chilled water systems and Ship Service low-pressure air systems to connect with replacement HLI 7300 Mk II units and installing electrical connections.
